“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”
~Jeremiah 17:9
The Apostle Paul stated that he didn’t even judge himself (1 Corinthians 4:3). When we allow our minds and heart to take control to become judge over others and ourselves often times we can be led astray or lead others astray. We begin with what we know or in many cases what we do not know. Then emotions get in the way.
There are too many people today speaking things that aren’t biblical and they try to “speak those things into your life”. This is why we must have ears to hear what the Spirit says. The Spirit, or the person led by the Spirit, will never contradict neither God’s Word nor His will. They will also be guided with the fruit of the Spirit.
When someone is preaching, teaching, or speaking to you make sure that it aligns with God’s Word and His will. If it doesn’t – flee! Just simply tell that person, “Get thee behind me satan,” as Jesus told Peter.
